This year’s Stomp lineup includes ’60s soul and rhythm-and-blues singer Maxine Brown; Chris Clark, Motown Records’ first white soul singer; The Standells of “Dirty Water” fame; Charlie Gracie, known for his 1957 hit “Butterfly”; ’60s Sunset Strip rockers The Sloths; Lafayette zydeco artist Lynn August; Louisiana country-soul singer George Perkins; Lafayette-born blues singer-guitarist Bobby Parker; and producer, songwriter and singer Boogaloo.
Also on the bill are Baby Washington, Richard Caiton, Charles Brimmer, James Alexander, Guanga Dyns, Ty Wagner, Gino Parks, Spencer Wiggins, Sonny Green, Bobby Crown and Eddie Daniels.
In addition to music, the Stomp features oral history sessions and record trading. Information about travel packages and hotel rates are available by calling Louisiana Travel Services at (866) 655-1889.
